The Sony Ericsson W995 is a sophisticated slider music phone and on the other hand the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a touch screen music phone which comes with high speed 3G technology.

Let’s talk about the music features first: -

The Sony Ericsson W995 is a Walkman music phone that includes a number of exclusive music related functionalities like Album Art Display, Stereo Speakers, TrackID, PlayNow, SensMe, Shake Control, Clear Bass, Clear Stereo, Bluetooth stereo with A2DP, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc. On the other hand Nokia 5800 Xpress Music's music features are also giving head to head competition with its Album Graphics Display, Music Selection, Playlist, 8 Band Graphic Equalizer, Volume Key, Bass Booster, Stereo Widening, Loudness, Integrated Stereo Speakers, Media Bar Touch Screen etc. MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, M4A music files are acceptable on its music player.
Other details are given bellow: -

The large 3.2 inches touch screen of Nokia 5800 will draw attention as the screen displays up to 16 million colors with resolution of 640 x 320 making for very clear, bright and very colorful viewing. On the contrary, the W995 features a 2.6 inches TFT display allowing 262K colors at 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The first one comes in 109 grams of weight with 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm physical dimensions. And its rival comes with an attractive sliding casing that measures 97 x 49 x 15 mm with 113 grams of weight.

Although the W995 is regarded as a music focused phone but the company has made it an all-rounder by putting an 8.1 mega pixel camera with 16x Digital Zoom, Auto Focus, Photo Flash, Face Detection, Image Stabilizer, Geo Tagging, Photo Fix, Picture Blogging, Video Light, Video Stabilizer, Video Streaming etc. Contrarily, the 3.2 mega pixel camera of the 5800 can’t really compete with it’s competitor but nevertheless it is also loaded with Carl Zeiss Optics, 3x Digital Zoom, Dual LED Flash, Auto Focus, Dedicated Camera Key, 4x Video Zoom and few others too. Both these rivals come with secondary video call camera.

Connectivity and data sharing systems are somewhat similar in both of them which include 3G HSDPA (HSUPA also included in W995), HSCSD, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, USB (Micro USB in case of 5800), WLAN Wi-Fi, EDGE and GPRS. WAP Web and Access NetFront web browsers along with Web Feeds are the browsers of Sony Ericsson W995 while it is also YouTube compatible. And on the other hand, WAP, HTML & XHTML are the Internet access technologies you can opt for while using the Nokia 5800 and the RSS feeds technologies help the process furthermore.
